Reverse Modeling Projects

Reverse Modeling Projects
During my exchange program in Italy, I followed a course about Reverse Modeling which main purpose was introducing the main technologies and methodologies for generating a digital 3D model by capturing a real scene.
The projects of the course were the making of a 3D model acquired with two different techniques:

The first one was Laser Scanning, an active optical technique with a high resolution that makes a non-contact measurement using light waves. For the rendering and 3D model creation, I used the Laser's own Software, Polyworks and Keyshot.
The second technique used was Photogrammetry, a passive 3D capturing which allows to obtain an accurate geometric measurement thanks to a set of images taken from different positions. For the compilation of all photos, rendering and 3D model creation, I used PhotoScan, Polyworks and Keyshot.
